Pure Crystal

So my little angel is a genius...of course every mommy thinks that, but really, mine is!!! (I can brag here because you don't have to read it..you just choose to) This past weekend when I went to go get Cash out of his crib after a nap he was STANDING up holding on to the edge of the crib waiting for me ( he looked like Bambi, but was standing none the less)!!! I was AMAZED and scared to death at the same time seeing as how I did not have the edge of the crib raised...he could have just fallen right over the edge (thank you Jesus for your protection :) Then as if that weren't enough, the next day I walked into the living room to see him not scooting any longer, but up on his hands and knees crawling, crawling i'm telling you like a big boy...such monumental milestones accomplished right there within 24-48 hours of each other...he thinks he's so big & gives me the biggest 2 teeth grin :) Oh and I forgot to mention that the sitting up is better too. So today was the day. I requested an appt at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL less than 2 weeks ago and was seen there today for this abdominal pain that has plagued me for literally ALL my life. I must say it is an amazing place. I am scheduled for 2 tests next week & excited about finally getting some answers & successful treatment. I did miss my baby boys terribly today!! Thanks to my Daddy, Mama, Sis Beth, Casey, & the Lovett's for your help with them today & to Granny MaryAnn for accompanying & taking care of me...don't know what I'd have done without you all! I also did something today that I haven't done in 11 years~played SOFTBALL!!! It was GREAT!! I didn't realize how much I missed it & CANNOT believe it's been that long. I'm so looking forward to playing this season with my Sisters from Brunel St. Church of God!! Last, but certainly not least on my mind tonight...my dear, dear husband. I miss him SOOO...much. I pray...

So this past evening I decided I'd try and take some pictures of the boys...you know Casher Bug is sitting up now and everything...our make-shift portrait studio consisted of the Radioflyer wagon, the top of a rubbermaid container, and a white linen table cloth. In our less than 5 minute session the rubbermaid container fell twice, the 2nd of which ended the "session". I managed to get a few GREAT picts though...& yes my baby was chewing on a stick (bad mommy). It kept him in place and his mouth "fingerless" long enough to snap a few shots. This is my attempt to capture the Hayes Bates, which as you can see was very successful! He was in no mood to participate....so....better luck next time. Oh, and I'm learning on the posting pictures in the blog, thus the "Portrait Session Description" posting :)

My boys are growing up right in front of my eyes and I can't remember today all the cute things they did and said 2 weeks or even 2 days ago....and this makes my heart sad...so today I start blogging!! I've tried posting on circle of moms on facebook , but it just doesn't seem to be enough...so here we go...I'm blogging.....for my God...my husband...my babies...my family....my future...and my peace of mind :) Just an example of some things I like to remember...today my sweet little Hayes dressed himself in a tank top and non-matching swimming shorts. Mind you it has been warm, but today the high was only 62 degrees and I wanted to take some pictures. I told him it was too cold for shorts. He said in a very respectable way...."Mommy, you're wrong just this one time; come see."
