A Beginner’s Journey: Quilting Parts 1-3

Journey to mesh free living: Phase 2-The Waiting

My explant surgery with Dr Raz is scheduled for Aug 1, 2019.  I will be having 3 pieces of mesh removed. (he’s contemplating leaving 1 depending on how it looks when he gets in there). My surgeon, Dr Shlomo Raz, will be retiring the next day so I am SUPER NERVOUS about my recovery (especially since it’s been so rough with my last 2-3 mesh erosion/revision surgeries).    I had my initial consult with Dr Raz in May.  My dear sister, Sandy, accompanied me for the long journey.   It was very clear Father had prepared the way!  I should have never gotten in when I did.  The scheduler said I must’ve just gotten lucky and called on a day when someone happened to have just cancelled.  ;). I said, nah! ❤️  She was calling that very day to move patients up if possible and if not to make them aware that Dr Raz wouldn’t be doing their surgery as he was retiring the end of July.  By God’s miracle, he agreed to do my surgery on Aug 1st!!!  As I understand, that will be it for him!!  Just a

Cereal Box Organizers DIY

Nothing more than cereal boxes.....weeellll along with left over fabric from singer chair revamp, scrapbook paper (on clearance at big lots right now), & modge podge for the magazine holder.  Spray paint, grandma's buttons, hot glue gun & twine for the letter box ;). I❤️Cheap organizing if only I could get and stay that way :D

Hayes' ER Visit

While playing duck duck goose in kid's club at church hayes fell and caught one of the metal folding chairs just right. Here's the final product! Much blood, tears, a drive to Jesup ER, a little hair clipped, and one very painful staple later we are home and snuggled in bed. Man it got him good :( I wish I had a before pict
