cash: walking & 1st birthday, preggo update, hayes' haircut
It's official...baby Cash can walk. He's ALL over the place. He's even to the point now where he prefers walking over crawling...and all in just one week...at his party last week he was still just taking 4-8 steps, falling, getting aggravated, and crawling to his destination, but NOW he's on a roll. It's amazing! At 11 1/2 months he took his first step and less than a week after his 1st B-Day he's practically trying to run :)
Soooo.....the nausea has set in. It's not AS bad as it was with Cash and I'm trusting God it won't be!!! I'm able to stay hydrated and snack and deal with it like most pregnant women do...so I'm counting my blessings even though I'm up at 3:30 in the morning snacking on cheerios, taking a unisom and B6 (per dr.'s orders) and hoping for this to ease off SOON so I can return to my cozy bed with my husband!! In the mean time....I'm blogging :)
Oh and I went to dr. lott this week and had my first ultrasound!! Baby Bates III has a strong heartbeat, is about the size of a lima bean at 71/2 weeks, and is due Feb 27th! Thank you God for ALL my blessings!!! :)
More blessings~~my first pregnancy I was able to share with my dearest friend, Pooter. This time I'm sharing it with another dear friend, Heather Allen. We are both sick, but it sure does make a difference when there's someone else there with you!! I thank God for what some may consider the "small things"!! :)
Cash's party was a big hit!! We had 4 baby pools set up with balls everywhere and a slip-n-slide. Enough hamburgers and hot dogs to feed a small army (which we did the next day with our dearest friends, the Carter's), coke-a-cola, close family and friends, the cutest birthday boy ever, nice south ga weather, and plenty of water----what do you expect...can't help but have a blast!!! Can't wait to post picts soon....Cash actually had his FOOT in the cake at one point...he was exhausted by cake time, but still put on a good show :) Happy 1st Birthday Christopher Cash!!!
Hayes Bates got a HAIRCUT!! He and his daddy had the GREAT idea of getting a mohawk...you can imagine the horror I felt inside....all that beautiful, 3 inch, brown hair GONE!!, but it's turned out VERY cute if I must say so myself...it sure did take away any "babyness" left of my Hayes!! BUT before I could snap a really cute pict of his new do he went off to nanny's house, got in a corner alone with papa's trimmers and gave himself a "haircut". Later he told me he wanted his head shaved like Papa's...that's why he did it!!!! Just found this out late yesterday...so we'll see tomorrow if a trip back to crista is necessary to shave his head!!
My baby came home last night and is preparing for his first jiu jitsu competition in Atlanta the end of this month....YEAH HB!!!! He really enjoys it and it advancing rapidly in my book!! Excited for fun family time and time with the Allen's (who've just moved back from West Virginia, YEAH!!!!!!!!) this weekend and then vacation next week...me and the boys in either the mountains with Nanny and Papa or North GA with Pooter and the boys!! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!
