Couldn't sleep so thought I'd share these that I entered in a photo contest ;) Some are repeats but I love them...so no harm in sharing twice ;)

While playing duck duck goose in kid's club at church hayes fell and caught one of the metal folding chairs just right. Here's the final product! Much blood, tears, a drive to Jesup ER, a little hair clipped, and one very painful staple later we are home and snuggled in bed. Man it got him good :( I wish I had a before pict

OMG...so as I'm finishing the last blog post on my phone with a sleeping Cash in bed by me in his bed (and sleeping Hayes and Mia Kate in my bed) I heard a LOUD thud and then piercing screams. I rushed into my room to see Mia Kate face down, sprawled eagle on the hard wood floor. I quickly sweep her into my arms only for her to seemingly lose consciousness! I hold her up and scream her name (thinking as I do that I should not do this in case of brain or spinal damage).  She comes to (like one does after the breath has been knocked out of you) and starts crying a "gaspy" cry for almost 30 minutes. She's now asleep in my arms. I've broken out the old trusty stethscope, performed neuro checks & vital signs are normal.  She seems perfect, but I still don't know if I'll be able to sleep. Lord help us! With HB out of town working, our bedtime routine has been to put Hayes to bed first in his room so he'll be well rested for school.  The babies and ...

Well I bought that nasty tasting fingernail polish and painted all over little Cash's right fingers and let me just tell you it was horrific! I felt so bad. I was ready to take it off and let him suck his fingers TO HIS LITTLE HEART’S CONTENT, even if he's still doing it when he starts school! He stayed in the kitchen drinking milk and screaming and spitting in the trash can for the first hour and then went to eating ice because he would forget and get that nasty taste was in his mouth all over again! Poor baby. I finally laid down with him and he just wiggled and fidgeted all in bed asking me to take it off so he could suck his fingers. Finally after laying on me, playing with my hair, and holding my hands he fell asleep....I don't know if I can do it again tomorrow! This kind of stuff usually doesn't bother me but he's pitiful. If I weren't worried about his teeth I'd for sure say to heck with IT!! We'll see how tomorrow goes....
