Quick Update - Broken Collarbone
March 22nd-I had a nursery meeting after church and the kids were playing like kids do. Hayes & his little friend Emily where holding hands swinging each other in circles. Well when they let go Hayes awkwardly fell on his shoulder and began to whine. I let him cry a few minutes and then started telling him to dry it up that it was enough and he was alright. After 10-15 minutes of STILL whining I decided I needed to further assess the situation...went out in the hall & upon realizing there was a "bump" on his clavicle and he could not lift him arm to remove his shirt I decided we were on our way to the ER for an x-ray. To make a long story short the ER didn't see anything, just called it a contusion/pulled ligaments and sent us home in a sling with pain meds...the next morning we were in the same boat..not moving the arm/shoulder and refusing to lift the arm to change clothes. We saw Dr. Dunn in Brunswick and had MORE x-rays and.....his clavicle was fractured. So he's been in the sling and swathe for 3 weeks...Thursday is the last day...Yeah!!!!:) So here's the picture of my baby's first major injury!!! Can we all say....Poor Hayes....no sports, trampolines, or jungle gyms for 2 more weeks. Thank you Lord for helping us through this is all I can say!!!
Aww, did you go to Waycross for the first x-ray? I am so sad to hear that... pooooor Hayes.... :(
